We Roar Together with Norton City Schools
“We Roar. Together with Norton City Schools.” The theme is designed to bring attention to Norton City School’s strategic plan addressing mental health, anti-bullying, and overall wellness in children with the focus on discussions, activities, and educational programming designed to enhance the life of every one of their students.
Recently on December 16th, Day 2 of the We Roar Together initiative for the 2021-2022 school year. The entire district was wearing their We Roar shirts and participating in activities related to the day. Such as a student driven Fashion Show, Band/Choir performances, Pie in the Face Contest, Ugly Sweater Dance, Board Games, conversations to promote on Making the School a better place, rock painting for positivity, and story telling.
Fred Martin Superstore began their involvement with Norton City Schools “We Roar. Together.” In 2019 when the theme was first announced. After a hiatus last year, Norton City Schools has resurrected the initiative and doubled down on their efforts to improve the wellbeing of their students. Anxiety, depression, and job loss stemming from the COVID-19 Pandemic has shined an even brighter light on the need for programs like this.
Norton’s staff works diligently and consistently on two student characteristics that are believed to be healthy for the students — Strength and Warmth. These will anchor their team’s approach to supporting and equipping each child in a manner that benefits them most. “We Roar” represents strength, and “Together” represents warmth.
The next Date to save in recognition to promote the “We Roar, Together” initiative will be February 18th, 2022 with that day being the next one for students to wear their amazing grey T-Shirts. Stay tuned for more details and information.
