RAM 1500 vs. Chevy Silverado: Which is Better?
Here at Fred Martin Superstore, we’re your source for the best new and used RAM trucks. We specialize in the FCA US LLC brand, which includes the best-selling and much-loved RAM line of pickup trucks. The most popular of these is the 2018 RAM 1500, which is a new heavy-duty pickup which just arrived on our lot. Now, we know that the pickup truck segment is a crowded one and that you may be shopping for competitors such as the 2018 Chevy Silverado, but our dealers are confident you’ll choose the RAM 1500 over the Chevy truck.
2018 RAM 1500
The 2018 RAM 1500 bursts out of the gate with a huge amount of trim levels and configuration packages. No matter if you like your truck to be a horsepower-heavy workhorse or a luxury-filled vehicle, you can outfit it to your liking. New for 2018 is the range-topping Limited Tungsten trim, which is loaded with luxuries, including a leather-lined interior, synthetic suede, real wood trim, a moonroof, navigation, and the 8.4-inch Uconnect® infotainment system with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.
There are three different engines available, with the most unique being an Italian-designed 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that is capable of producing 240 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque. The truck also stands out from the pack due to its coil-spring rear suspension setup to provide a smoother ride and more stable handling.
2018 Chevy Silverado
The 2018 Chevy Silverado is another full-size pickup truck. It also comes with three available engines, but it doesn’t have anything like the efficient EcoDiesel® at its disposal. The truck is available in six trims with a decent amount of configuration options, but it doesn’t come close to matching the amount of personalization offered by the RAM truck.
Don’t just take our word for it, come see why the RAM 1500 is the pickup to choose at Fred Martin Superstore.
