It’s a Jeep Thing – The Jeep Wrangler Wave
The “Jeep Wave” has become a national phenomenon amongst Jeep Wrangler owners. But what is it?
If you’re a new Jeep owner, you may have noticed there’s something called a Jeep Wave or commonly known as the Wrangler Wave. If you’re just going about indiscriminately waving at fellow Jeep owners, you’re probably doing it wrong.
So what is the right way to do the Jeep Wrangler Wave?
The Jeep Wrangler Wave generally consists of a vigorous side-to-side motion of one or both hands, a raised hand waving, or two or four fingers extended upward from the steering wheel. While these are generally what describes the Jeep Wrangler Wave, it may be modified to suit circumstances and locally accepted etiquette.
Automotive enthusiasts have always had fan communities supporting certain makes and models of vehicles. Many folks hold events ranging from small clubs meetups to large convention sized auto shows featuring personalized vehicles, custom interiors, and rare trim levels. It is the community that brings people together; especially the more active Jeep Wrangler community.
