ISEECARS.COM Study Shows JEEP® WRANGLER as the Lowest Depreciation Among All Vehicles

As the years and miles go by, eventually the time arrives for an individual to transition or buy into a new vehicle. When we trade in our vehicles, we hope to attain the best value and hope our vehicles can maintain their value for as long as possible and not depreciate too greatly over time for many reasons.

A recent study by online car search engine iSeeCars.com reveals that the Jeep® Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited show the lowest average depreciation out of any vehicle over a five-year span.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Wrangler ranked first and second, respectively, with an average of 27.3 percent depreciation average over five years, nearly half as low as the all-vehicle average of 50.2 percent.

Jeep brand vehicles “are known for retaining their value due to their enduring popularity, as well as their durability and performance across all terrains.

The numbers grow more impressive when narrowing to regions across the country. In 19 of the U.S.’ 20 most populous states, the Jeep Wrangler or Wrangler Unlimited showed the least amount of depreciation, including as low as 20.3 percent in Washington state.

Other FCA US LLC vehicles finished well in the study. The Ram 1500 also received a top-10 percentage average among all vehicles for lowest five-year depreciation. As well as the Dodge Durango, which scored among the top-10 lowest depreciation averages among SUVs.
