Give Thanks To Your Car

Car WashWhether you’re traveling around in your brand new car or just peddling around in your grandparent’s old hand me down, we are usually just thankful to get from point A to point B in one piece. With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it’s about time we give thanks to our motored companions by checking out some simple, yet sometimes overlooked maintenance tasks for the winter.

Make sure to fill up! : What vehicle wouldn’t be thankful for a full tank of gas. Keep your fuel tank relatively full in the winter, to decrease the amount of moisture that can enter the system and potentially freeze the lines. Plus we all love seeing the fuel gauge above half full right?

Check your tire pressure: It’s pretty common knowledge that as the temperature drops so does the air pressure in your tire. I know it’s already bad enough having to get out of your car during those chilly days, but you and your ride will be thankful for the added traction, durability and handling. (Don’t forget to reference to your vehicle owner’s manual to be sure you inflate your tires to the correct psi levels.)

Clean sweep: Who doesn’t love the look of a clean vehicle? I know I do! So after you drive through our awesome Speedy Wash and Lube carwash, why not also sweep through your vehicle with our complimentary vacuum too? All of our Car Vacuums are FREE all the time. Just stop in and help yourself.

Due for an oil change? Before showing off your newly washed car to the world, be sure to check your mileage to see if you’re due for an oil change. If so you’re in luck, right next to our car wash sits the oil and lube center. Just stop in and see the service lane greeter and don’t forget this would be a great chance to have us check your brakes as well.

By this point if you car could talk, it would probably be thanking you for being such an awesome owner! Now you’re ready to tackle the holiday season and from our family to yours, Fred Martin Superstore wishes you a safe and Happy Thanksgiving!
