eSave Mode prioritizes the 2.0L engine. This saves the battery charge for later use. When power demand is low, the engine shuts off. It can also be reconfigured to increase the battery charge as well.
ELECTRIC MODE
When the battery has more than a 1% charge, it can run in Electric Mode. This allows for nearly zero tailpipe emissions up to highway speeds. The vehicle can run in this mode for up to 21 miles.

Electric mode uses just the battery pack, giving you that 21-mile all-electric range. In Hybrid mode, the car will utilize the gas tank and the battery pack at once, which creates the maximum amount of torque if you’re looking for that extra oomph! Lastly, eSave mode will draw power from the gas tank first, and then use the battery charge when the gas tank runs low, allowing you to preserve your battery for later. When it’s time to recharge, you can monitor your battery levels using LED indicators right on your vehicle, or even using your smartphone when you opt for the Jeep home charging station!
