2023 Chrysler 300C Hemi V8 Revealed

With roots that include the breakthrough 1955 and 2005 models, the Chrysler 300 has represented style, sophistication, and performance for nearly 70 years. In 1955, the Chrysler 300 was introduced. The hardtop contains a 300-horsepower HEMI V8 with solid valve lifters and dual four-barrel carburetors, the most powerful full-size car in the world. Chrysler retired the name in the ’60s. Then the 300 nameplates returned to the Chrysler lineup in 1999.

The 6.4L V-8 HEMI engine, also referred to as the “392,” makes the final version of America’s big, bold sedan even bigger and more aggressive. This powerhouse of an engine generates 485 horsepower and 475 lb. ft. of torque and drives the 2023 Chrysler 300C from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds. In addition, the 300C can cover a quarter-mile in 12.4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 160 mph.

The 392 is a naturally aspirated engine, which Chrysler has paired with a TorqueFlite eight-speed transmission in the all-new Chrysler 300C. This transmission optimizes fuel economy while offering maximum performance with 160-millisecond shifts. Additional performance features for the 2023 Chrysler 300C include red four-piston Brembo brakes, a 3.09 limited-slip differential, active damping suspension, and black, rounded exhaust tips that accent an active exhaust system that delivers a muscular, throaty sound.

Inside the Chrysler 300C, you will find black Laguna heated and ventilated leather front seats embossed with the new 300C logo and accented by unique silver stitching. Silver stitching also reaches the doors and leather instrument panel, with carbon fiber and Piano Black touches on the interior bezels. In addition, the 300C packs a premium 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, come standard.

Chrysler created a unique three-color badge for the 300C displayed on the new grille and rear decklid. The Chrysler 300C rides on 20-by-9-inch forged wheels​ with all-season performance tires. The exterior is highlighted by black chrome accents on the grille and lower fascia, plus black headlamps and taillamp bezels.
