For the first few trim levels such as the Tradesman, Big Horn, and Laramie, the standard engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 rated at 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with a 48-volt eTorque mild-hybrid system, and pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission. For upper trim levels, you can opt for the more robust 5.7-liter V8 rated at 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. There’s also an available 3.0-liter diesel V6 that delivers 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. Last but certainly not least, there’s a 6.2-liter V8 that cranks out an outstanding 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque for the legendary TRX trim!
2022 Ford F-150 Power & Handling
The 2022 Ford F-150 offers six main trim levels, as well as two additional off-road trims. For this lineup, there is a total of six powertrain options available. As the numbers show, that’s practically one powertrain option per trim level, which can become a bit overwhelming while trying to choose which one is best. The base engine is a 3.3-liter V6 rated at 290 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque. This is followed up by a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that bumps it up to 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque. Moving on up, you’ll find a 5.0-liter V8 rated at 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. As you’ll notice, this engine is rather similar to the previous option. Next up is a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. There’s also an engine just for the Raptor, a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6.
2022 Ram 1500 Features & Design
The Ram 1500 offers seven core trim levels in its 2022 lineup, and there are also several sub-trims that add more design features and unique themes to the lineup. The Ram 1500 has introduced some new standard features for the 2022 model year, including an air filtration system that removes up to 95% of air contaminants, and a new LED trailer hitch light. Inside, the Ram 1500 includes the Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. On upper trim levels like the Limited, the Uconnect 5 also comes with a standard 12-inch touchscreen. Other features include dual-zone automatic climate control, premium leather upholstery, heated seats, and in-floor storage.
2022 Ford F-150 Features & Design
The Ford F-150 has a few different configurations available, the regular layout, the SuperCab, and the SuperCrew. There are also multiple different bed lengths available. Some of the Ford F-150’s standard features include 17-inch wheels, vinyl floors, and single-zone climate control. Moving up in the range, you’ll find other available features including fog lights, leather upholstery, LED in-bed lighting, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The most luxurious trim level of the range is known as the Limited, and it includes features such as 22-inch polished wheels, power running boards, and a 12-inch infotainment touchscreen. Like the Ram 1500, there’s also an off-road trim. For the F-150 this is the Raptor, which has sportier, more aggressive styling in addition to its off-road equipment.
