2022 Grand Wagoneer vs Cadillac Escalade

SUVs are the most popular vehicles in America, and luxury SUVs take things a step further with superior engine options and tons of advanced features and options. Two of the best luxury SUVs around are the 2022 Grand Wagoneer and the Cadillac Escalade. The Grand Wagoneer is new on the scene, and it comes with a powerful V8 engine and some wonderful technological advancements such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Escalade is a Cadillac vehicle which means it comes with a gorgeous interior and several technological advancements. While either one of these SUVs would make a terrific addition to your driveway, there is one that stands along. To find out which one comes out on top, continue reading!

2022 Grand Wagoneer Power & Handling

While the Grand Wagoneer only comes with one engine option, it packs quite a punch and should impress all kinds of drivers. Under the hood is a solid 6.4-liter V8 that pumps out an impressive 471 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque and connects to a solid eight-speed automatic transmission which provides you with one of the smoothest rides around. If you want to haul around a ton of material, the Grand Wagoneer is perfect for that, as it can tow an amazing 9,860 pounds! Added traction is provided by three different four-wheel-drive systems and a spectacular Selec-Terrain System that comes with five different modes that are tailor-made to any driving situation. Go anywhere and do anything with the wonderful Grand Wagoneer!

2021 Cadillac Escalade Power & Handling

The Cadillac Escalade has two engine options to choose from, and the power output is decent. When you lift the hood, you will find a 6.2-liter V8 that kicks out a decent 420 horsepower and comes with an automatic transmission. Optional is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel which comes with 277 horsepower and also pairs with a solid automatic transmission. The Escalade comes standard with rear-wheel-drive with the option of four-wheel-drive if you decide to go that route. We like a lot of what the Escalade offers in terms of power, but the Grand Wagoneer has higher horsepower and the four-wheel-drive comes standard.

2022 Grand Wagoneer Features & Design

With the Grand Wagoneer, you’re getting a luxury SUV in every sense of the word. The interior is a solid combination of wood and aluminum, and all of the seats are covered in premium leather with a diamond interior pattern in the stitching and perforation. Features for the Wagoneer are awe-inspiring in terms of tech and luxury as it comes with four-zone climate control, front seats with 24-way adjustability, massage functions, heating and ventilation, and seating for seven or eight passengers. In addition, there are 44 inches of total touchscreen space available, including a 12-inch digital cluster display, a 12-inch center touchscreen, a 10-inch lower touchscreen, and a 10.25-inch front passenger screen. McIntosh provides theatre-quality sound as it has 23 speakers and 1,375 watts of power. Each touchscreen also comes with the latest version of the Uconnect system that has speeds up to five times faster than the previous version and comes with Amazon Alexa and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

2021 Cadillac Escalade Features & Design

Five trim levels are available for the Escalade. The base trim offers drivers and passengers some luxury items such as full leather seating, keyless entry and ignition, heated front and rear seats, tri-zone climate control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and front and rear parking sensors. Then comes with Premium Luxury trim, which builds on this with adaptive air suspension, a rear-seat entertainment system, and two performance packages that add more tech and performance-enhanced features. If you want more premium features, you will have to go with one of the higher trims with massaging front seats, a leather-wrapped instrument panel, black wheels, and a gloss black trim. These are some nice features, but the Grand Wagoneer has more to offer!

Conclusion:

There is a lot to love about both of these SUVs, but we will give the victory to the Grand Wagoneer. The Grand Wagoneer comes with a much better V8 engine option, and its tech and luxury features trump what the Escalade can offer you.
