Could you talk about the Wrangler’s trim levels and features offered for the 2021 model year?
Jeep offers the Wrangler in a total of four trim levels for the 2021 model year as well as two- and four-door body configuration. The Sport model starts the lineup off with standard features like 17-inch steel wheels, fog lights, manual door locks, a 5-inch touchscreen, crank windows, tow hooks, and skid plates. The other trim levels in the lineup and the special editions, add to the base Sport model wil features like an Alpine sound system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, alloy wheels, a 7- or 8.4-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, tinted windows, keyless entry, all-terrain tires, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, LED lighting, and more.
What kind of features does the Rubicon trim level offer?
Named after California’s 22-mile off-roading trial, the Rubicon trim level is one of the most capable Wrangler models to take on the trails. Features for this model include 4:1 low-range gearing, power windows, rock rails for additional protection, automatic climate control, heavy-duty Dana 44 front and rear axles with a shorter 4.10 gear ratio, an electronic disconnecting front stabilizer bar, 33-inch off-roading tires, and electronic locking front and rear differentials.
Could you talk about the Wrangler’s powertrain options?
In the 2021 model year, each Wrangler model is powered by the standard Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 that produces up to 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Each Wrangler model is also outfitted with standard four-wheel drive. There are two transmission options offered for this engine, a manual six-speed and an automatic eight-speed. Drivers can also choose to outfit this engine with Jeep’s mild-hybrid eTorque technology. Optional for both the two- and four-door body styles is a 270 horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that creates 295 pound-feet of torque. Four-door models offer a 260 horsepower 3.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 442 pound-feet of torque. Both of these engines are paired with the automatic eight-speed transmission. The 4xe Wrangler model is powered by the two integrated electric motor generators, a 27-kWh hybrid battery pack and the four-cylinder engine, creating 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque.
