Could you talk about the Cherokee’s trim levels and features?
There are five Cherokee trim levels offered for the 2021 model year. The entry-level Latitude trim comes outfitted with tons of standard features like rain-sensing windshield wipers, roof rails, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 6-speaker audio system, smartphone integration, a Selec-Terrain management system, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The upper trims add keyless entry and ignition, rear USB ports, remote engine start, fog lights, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate, upgraded driver information display, and a panoramic sunroof. The Trailhawk trim sets itself apart from the rest of the lineup with off-roading-oriented features.
What about the engine options?
In the 2021 model year, the Cherokee can be powered by one of three engines. The standard powertrain is a 2.4L 4-cylinder engine that generates 171 lb-ft of torque and 180 horsepower. The second engine option is a 3.2L V6 that produces 239 lb-ft of torque and 271 horsepower. Last but certainly not least is the turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that creates 295 lb-ft of torque and 270 hp. All engines are paired with an automatic nine-speed transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard but 4-wheel drive is offered for all trim levels but the Trailhawk where it comes standard.
Can you go over the Cherokee’s safety features?
Every Cherokee model is outfitted with advanced safety features and driver aids for the 2021 model year to grant drivers confidence behind the wheel and passengers peace of mind. Some of these features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert that lets drivers know when there are vehicles around them they most-likely cannot see when changing lanes or backing up and lane keeping assist that helps drivers stay in their lane by gently steering the SUV back into its intended lane if it drifts over the lane marker without signaling.
