The Durango, stamped with the SRT Hellcat mark, has joined the Brotherhood of Muscle as one of the most powerful vehicles offered. The Dodge SRT Hellcat lineup is home to all kinds of powerful vehicles and the addition of the Durango is giving families with a need for speed, the vehicle they have been searching for. Lift up the hood of this SUV and you will find an engine pumping out 710 horsepower that is capable of sailing from 0 to 60 in just 3.5 seconds! What kind of power does the Durango harness?
Pushing the envelope again, Dodge has engineered the Durango SRT Hellcat to be unlike any other SUV they have ever offered. This beast houses a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat V8 that kicks out up to 645 pound-feet of torque and 710 horsepower. This engine is paired with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. Several race-inspired technologies improve the Durango SRT Hellcat’s performance including an upgraded suspension which transmits to enhanced handling in Track mode and additional comfort in Auto mode. This suspension upgrade also boosts stability when going around turns and corners, more responsiveness with a total rebound control increase of 20%, and additional grip with reduced understeer.
Can driver’s control the driving experience behind the wheel of a Durango SRT Hellcat?
The Durango SRT Hellcat does allow the driver to tailor the driving experience to meet their wants and needs with SRT drive modes and electric power steering, both of which can be accessed via the new 10.1-inch touchscreen. With these features, the drive can adjust steering, transmission shift speeds, all-wheel drive, traction, suspension settings, and the paddle shifters for a more custom experience. The SRT drive modes come in four settings, Customer, Street or Auto, Sport, and Track. The Durango SRT Hellcat also comes with race-inspired technologies to further the SUV’s performance. Launch Assist uses wheel speed sensors to watch for driveline-damaging wheel hop, modifying the torque to regain grip in milliseconds. Launch Control helps deliver consistent straight-line acceleration by managing tire slip when launching.

Distinctly Dodge, the Durango SRT Hellcat boasts a muscular body and aggressive styling. Taking cues from the Charger Widebody model, the Durango has a forward leaning profile with a new sculpted hood, rear spoiler, front fascia, and grille. Lighting was also enhanced, the front end features LED low/high headlamps and the signature LED daytime running lamps which are thinner than previous model years for a more menacing look. Moving inside the SUV, the Durango SRT Hellcat offers Dodge latest infotainment system Uconnect 5, a new 10.1-inch touchscreen, performance inspired, full electronic shifter controls, a driver-oriented instrument panel, and a flat-bottom performance steering wheel.
