2020 RAM 2500 at Fred Martin Superstore
There is no doubt about it; the RAM 2500 is the most powerful and capable pickup on the market! With a towing capacity of 19,370 pounds and a payload capacity of 4,520 pounds, this truck will do even the largest of jobs. New this year, and never before seen, is a torque of 850 lb-ft when you pair the RAM 2500 with the I-6 Turbo-Diesel engine. Additionally, the RAM 2500 sets the standard for comfort, luxury materials, and technology, which surpasses anything the competition throws out there. The RAM 2500s frame is built with high-strength steel, and some body panels are made out of aluminum, which brings the overall weight down. Need more? How about advanced safety features like adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring. When you’re on top of the mountain, it’s hard to go any higher, but by George, the RAM 2500 has found a way!

What are notable features on the 2020 RAM 2500?
With three cab styles, two bed lengths, and six trim levels, you will never run out of options with the RAM 2500! For cab options, you get your choice of a two-door regular cab, a four-door crew cab, and a four-door Mega Cab. The regular cab gets you a long bed while the crew cab has the option of a long bed or a short bed. As for features, the base Tradesman comes with 17-inch steel wheels, a locking tailgate, air conditioning, vinyl upholstery, and a tilt-only steering wheel. The Tradesman comes with some terrific tech features such as a 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, and a six-speaker audio system. Also coming standard are power windows and locks as well as power-adjustable heated mirrors. Higher-level trims add remote locking and unlocking, remote ignition, LED headlights and taillights, power-folding auto-dimming mirrors, LED bedlights, automatic high beams, front bucket seats, heated front and rear seats, and automatic wipers. Tech features get an upgrade too with an upgraded driver information display, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a ten-speaker surround-sound audio system. If you go with the Power Wagon, you will get a ton of terrific off-road features. These include aggressive all-terrain tires, off-road shock absorbers, tow hooks, skid plates, electronically locking front and rear differentials with a 4.10 axle ratio, and hill descent control.
What are some of the safety features?
The RAM 2500 helps keep you informed and in control, thanks to a multitude of safety and security features. Every version of the RAM 2500 comes with Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, which helps to inform the driver if a collision appears imminent. If the driver fails to act, the RAM 2500 will automatically apply the brakes and bring the pickup to a complete stop, even if you have attached a trailer. Also available is Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop, which will maintain a pre-set distance between you and the traffic ahead. When the system detects slower traffic, the RAM can adjust the speed down to 0 mph even with an attached trailer. Blind-Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection is also available and it keeps an eye out for traffic that happens to be in your blind spot and alerts you with visual and audio cues.
Final Thoughts on the 2020 RAM 2500
There is so much raw power with the RAM 2500 that you would be forgiven if you mistake the pickup for a MAC truck. The two engines allow you to haul over 19,000 pounds behind you, and the multitude of features out of the five trim levels are some of the most technologically advanced we have ever seen in a truck. If you’re looking for more safety, the RAM 2500 has you covered with blind-spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.
