No matter what trim level, you choose you will get a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, which comes with a six-speed automatic transmission with front-wheel-drive models and a nine-speed automatic with all-wheel-drive models. Optional on the Sport and Latitude is a six-speed manual. Front-wheel drive is standard on all versions of the Compass, but you do get the option of all-wheel-drive on all versions except the Trailhawk where it comes standard.
