Coming standard for the 2020 Cherokee is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque. Optional is a 3.2-liter V6 with 271 horsepower or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 270 horsepower. A nine-speed automatic transmission comes standard with all engines. The Trailhawk comes standard with all-wheel-drive, while all other trims give you the option of either front-wheel or all-wheel-drive. When appropriately equipped, the Cherokee can tow up to 4,500 pounds, which are best in its class.
