This engine comes standard with a six-speed automatic transmission, along with front-wheel drive. Thanks to the Pentastar engine, towing is no problem for the ProMaster. The towing capacity is up to 5,100 pounds. This kind of towing is hard to find with a commercial van like the ProMaster. The payload rating is no slouch either, as you can carry up to 4,430 pounds with the 3500 model.

2019 Ford Transit Power & Handling

The 2019 Ford transit comes standard with a 3.7-liter V6 engine. This engine can pump out 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, while connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. All of this power is directed towards the rear wheels. You can also opt for an EcoBoost 3.5-liter V6 engine, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke Diesel inline-5 engine.
